The Academy offers online courses in the following fields:
The emphasis in the various courses is on didactics and teaching tools. All of the courses are recognized and approved by the Israel Ministry of Education.
To provide a professional and accessible framework that enables all those who are involved in teaching and education (teacher educators and teachers, researchers of education and teaching, educational policy makers, educational leaders, and so on) to develop, acquire additional tools and knowledge in their field of work, share and participate in the professional discourse, and become acquainted with colleagues.
Full specialization programs:
In this track, the student is required to complete eight courses (six mandatory and two elective). Full specialization tracks are available in one of the three following areas:
In this track, the student may select one or more courses from the sum total of courses that are offered.
The opening of a course is dependent on the number of participants. If a course is not given in a particular semester, registrants may: 1. Choose an alternate course from the ones that are offered; 2. Postpone studies to the following semester; 3. Receive a full tuition refund.
Structure of the studies:
The courses are taught on a semester basis (approximately 14 weeks long). While most of the learning takes place via the MOODLE asynchronous study platform, the studies include several synchronous sessions that take place via the ZOOM platform.
Language of instruction:
In the fields of “Teaching Hebrew as an additional language” and “Teaching the Arabic language”, the courses are taught in those languages. In the other fields, you will find a broad range of courses that are taught in English and several that are taught in Spanish.
The course developers and lecturers are all senior academic faculty members and experts in their fields from institutions of higher education in Israel and fellow institutions worldwide.
Upon completion of a full specialization program, participants are awarded a Certificate of Specialization in their field of study. Upon completion of an individual course, participants are awarded a Confirmation of Studies.
