Session 3: The Evolution of the MOOC

Lecturer: Ruthy Salomon

Date: May 18, 2020, 9:00PM – 10:30PM – Israel time

In its relatively short lifespan the MOOC has undergone numerous changes. Some see these changes as a retreat from the openness that was an essential part of the vision of these courses, while others still see a promise for making knowledge cheaply and readily available to anyone who desires it. This session will review many of the changes that the MOOC has undergone and via numerous examples will attempt to point us toward how they can best fulfill their early promise.
