Synchronous encounters are an important component of the TEC Model:

According to the TEC Model, the acquaintance between participants from different cultures extends over an entire academic year in a non-competitive atmosphere, which includes gradual social acquaintance.

The work in a multicultural collaborative course develops as follows: asynchronous group work (online collaborative tasks on the NEAR Network for elementary school pupils, or Moodle for students), synchronous voice encounters, synchronous encounters combining voice and image (video conference in the student courses), and a face-to-face encounter.

The synchronous encounters are held in synchronous environments such as Unicko. An example of the main synchronous encounter between participants in all TEC Center programs is the annual conference: TEC Online International Day
