Teaches in the BA English Program at Talpiot College of Education since 1991, and headed the English Department for about four years.
In 2019, she was coordinator of the MA English Program. She joined the first initiatives at the college to incorporate technology into teaching.
In the past decade, she has developed an online course on cultural diversity as a mandatory course in the education of diverse populations, and joined the initiative of TEC Center at MOFET Institute on Exploring Cultures Through Literature Written in English.
In 2020, she is heading an online course on “Israeliness” for TEC Center, and working with lecturers from Mexico and Israel (Levinsky College of Education, College of Sakhnin for Teacher Education) on developing and teaching the course.
Her book The Audacity of Holiness: Orthodox Jewish Women’s Theater in Israel was published in 2007, and her second book, When We Meet I Will Tell Everything: The Letters of Reina De Vries-Spier, 1945-1946, was published in 2017.
Dr. Reiner is regularly invited to participate in international conferences and discussion panels, and has published articles on cultural anthropology. She also headed a research group on families in Israel at The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute.
