Senior lecturer and head of the Biology Department at the Arab Academic College of Education in Haifa. Since 2016, he has been a lecturer in the TEC Center at MOFET Institute. In 1998, he received his BSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva. He conducted a research project from 1998 to 2000 on inbreeding and reducing congenital disorders in the Bedouin sector in the Department of Epidemiology at Soroka University Medical Center, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
In 2006, he received his PhD from the Department of Life Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a biology teaching certificate from the Teacher Education Program at the university.
In 2005, he received a two-year postdoctoral grant from the Department of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and researched the connection between brain-blood barrier disorders and development of epilepsy in mice, rats, and humans at molecular level. In 2009, he was awarded an Eshkol Fellowship from the Ministry of Science for postdoctoral research in the Department of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at the Galilee Society’s Regional R&D Center in Shfar’am.
